I will never resist the urge to spend some quality time with a Northern Saw whet Owl, this one found by a local birder & her daughter. Slightly bigger than a pop can, they roost stealthily during the day & RARELY in locations as exposed as this. This guy is long gone across the lake today, headed to the Canadian boreal forests to raise equally adorable offspring.
