Program Assistants

Our Canskate programs require intensive coaching. Program assistants, or PAs, are vital to the success of our skaters. These individuals will assist skaters, providing instruction and encouragement on the ice. Our PAs are always seen on the ice with smiling faces and plenty of stickers.

Program assistants are often senior members of the skating club. It is a great opportunity for them to give back to the club. We also appreciate when members of the local hockey organizations volunteer their time with our skaters. Our PAs are required to attend training before heading on the ice. Becoming a PA is a great way to learn leadership skills. It is a great opportunity for high school students to earn their community volunteer hours.
